Why Crew exists

It started with one too many payroll Sundays.

Syed Ali Rizvi was running alphathree.co, a small business with its own payroll cycle. Each cycle, the same routine. Pull biometric data into Excel. Calculate overtime by hand. Apply EOBI and PESSI. Cross-check against last month. Generate payslips one by one.

Each cycle, the same realization: this should not be this hard. The math wasn't complicated. The decisions weren't subjective. It was routine work a computer should obviously be doing, and yet the available tools either solved the wrong problem or solved the right problem badly.

Crew was the answer. AI-native from day one. Built for Pakistan from day one. Priced for SMBs from day one.

We don't build Crew so businesses can fire their HR people. We build it so HR can stop spending half the week on form-filling and start spending it on hiring conversations, performance reviews, and the judgment calls that actually need humans.

Most international platforms treat Pakistan as a configuration option, a setting buried somewhere. Crew was designed for Pakistani SMBs from the first line of code. EOBI, PESSI, biometric, PKR — all defaults, never afterthoughts.
